DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Guilderland Central School District and Forefront Power\, I would like to invite you to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at our Solar Farm located at 4157 Becker Road in Altamont on Wednesday\, May 15\, at 10:00 a.m. \n\nPlease consider joining us as we officially open the solar farm and help us celebrate this project! We will be joined by several groups of Guilderland students who will also see and learn about the solar farm first hand.  The farm brings us value in two ways.  Not only is it a place where students can learn about self-sustaining energy\, it is also a money saver! The farm is predicted to offset the District's electrical carbon footprint by approximately 58% and reduce operating expenses by an estimated $4.5 million over a 20-year period.  \n\nDue to the fact that we have had so much wet weather lately and that the farm is situated in an open field\, please wear proper footwear if you plan to attend.
